TREKKING IN NEPAL

Annapurna region range lays west part of Nepal. It offers the view of massif Annapurna including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna 1, Machhepuchre, Manaslu, Annapurna south, Nilgiri, and many more. Trekkers mostly enjoy with the Gurung ethnic and their tradition and culture in the down hills and Tibetan in the upper part. Its starts from the low mountain till the high passes like Throng-La, Messokhanto-La. It offers short to long trek including the lost forbidden kingdom upper Mustang, annapurna base camp, and many. Naturally it has much diversity with plants vegetation and animal.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek
 

The most popular trekking area in Nepal, located immediately north of Pokhara. This trek offers some of the most dramatic close-up views of the tallest mountain peaks. The abrupt variations in altitude provide an astonishing experience. The summit of Machhapuchhre (6997m) is less than 30 kilometers from the airstrip in Pokhara (850m). In less than a week we move from the sub-tropical areas around Pokhara to high tundra and the glaciers of the Annapurna sanctuary. Inhabited by the Gurung and Magar people - the friendly smiling people from the famous Gorkha regiment of the British and Indian armies. The Annapurna Sanctuary offers a good mix of high mountains and Himalayan culture. The Muktinath area is frequented by many Hindu and Buddist on pilgrimages. The Annapurna Himal lies between the Kali Gandaki and Marsyangdi river valleys, forming a solid, mountain bastion. In its span of 40 miles, it encompasses some twelve peaks higher than 7000 m. and numerous others over (6000 m). The Annapurna Sanctuary forms a 360 Degree natural amphitheater ringed by Huin Chuli (6441 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Gangapurna (7454 m), Tharpu Chuli (5663 m) and Machhapuchare or "Fish Tail" as it is commonly known.

Annapurna Circuit Trek
This "classic" journey around the massif of the Annapurna Himal starts with a drive to Beshishahar - in the lowland paddy fields steadily gaining altitude leading up the Marsyangdi River Valley passing through oak and pine forests and eventually emerging into high desert country at Manang (3597 m.) through the villages of Chamje, Bagarchap, Pisang to cross the Thorung La Pass (5416 m). The descent is equally amazing and varied. The trail then switches over to the Kali Gandaki River valley and descends through the villagesof Muktinath, Jomsom and Ghorepani to terminate in Pokhara giving you enough time to observe the people and their customs. Lowland, farming communities of Brahmin and Chettri people ofAryan stock give way, slowly, to the highland trading communities of Magar, Gurung and Bhotia people of Mongoloid stock. As the people change, so does the dominant religion. Close up views of the Annapurna range, varied ecosystems, diverse cultures and an ever-changing landscape - lush, green paddy fields and oak forests, arid deserts and the deepest gorge in the world make this one of the most popular treks in the world.

Jomsom Muktinath Trek (Easy trek)
Central Nepal abounds with several fantastic trails to explore the deepest gorge in the world and the hospitality of friendly Thakali people. The trek leads to Muktinath (3800 m) a major pilgrimage site for both Buddhists and Hindus as well as an opportunity to relish the great mountain views. This trek begins and ends in Pokhara. You can choose to fly straight to Jomsom (2713 m) and walk to Muktinath and then down or you can start your walk from Pokhara, then fly back. Either choice gives you a great trekking experience while you follow the major trading route linking the road-less high mountains with the commercial centers of the valley where you will share the trail with burros and pony caravans on their way to and from the Mustang region.

Ghorepani (Poonhill 3210m.)Trek
This area, north of Pokhara, called "Ghorepani" offers some of the most dramatic close-up views of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. The abrupt variation in altitude found here is astonishing. From the Pokhara airstrip (850m) the summit of Machhapuchare (6997m) is less than 30 km. This area is home to the Magars and Gurungs (backbone of the famous Gorkha regiments). The trek passes through rhododendron and mixed forest alive with ferns and birds, through spectacular villages of the Gurkha soldiers with their spectacular Himalayan back drops leads to Ghorapani 2834 m. The following morning visits Poon Hill at (3210 m), a vantage point to view the Dhaulagiri(8167 m) and the Annapurna massif. The trek makes a small circuit and visits Tadapani(2450 m), Ghandruk and finally ends in Pokhara.

Mardi Himal Trek
This off the beaten trek starts at Suiket Phedi and climbs up to Dhampus with stunning views of Machhapuchare (6997 m) and the Annapurna Mountain ranges. This is truly a private trail, which is unique as 75% of the trekkers visit Annapurna regions yet you will not encounter any other trekkers on this trek for 6 days. The first few days uphill as the trek winds along the ridge through forests of birch, rhododendrons, hemlock and pines and finally brings you right in front of Machhapuchare and Annapurna South with Mardi Khola river winding it's way through the valley thousands of feet below.

Narphu Valley Trek
The Nar and Phu village are the Tibetan tradition village in just above to Manang. The trek has newly opened for the trekkers that, was restricted (Naar Khola valley) before. Trekking in the area is unlike most of Nepal-the trail is trans Himalayan and most likely to Tibet. The trails are rugged and cut high into cliff sides in an area. The trek will explore the mystery of the traditional village, people and their traditions. We will visit the monastery, ruins the majestic Himalayas itself including Annapurna, Tilicho, Throng Peak, Khangrur, Mesokhanto pass and after the Pass Kaligandaki valley (worlds deepest valley). Finally arrive in Pokhara the Queen city of Nepal.
